I have searched far and wide and have not found much help online on the subject of beetles as pets, I am interested (if the price is right) in purchasing an easy to raise beetle that is large, and has large jaws, I do not know what a good beetle would be, I would also like to know what all supplies I would need. while my favorite beetle is a cycclomattus beetle (I probably spelled it wrong.) I do not know if you can obtain these, or is raising them is easy/worthwhile. I would also like to know if hercules beetles (the strongest beetle in the world) or any close relatives are good for pets. please tell me if you are willing to sell any, or know someone who will, I am not exactly "rich" and probably could not spend more than 40-45$ total for my new pet and his new "home" I have a fairly large cage, and I think I could convince my father to maybe get me a new one, as I have had a prevoiusly going interest in raising a bearded dragon and a deal with some carnivorous plants, and I think I may be able to get some leverage there. please I have a really dumb question: what should I feed them? should I simply gather certain plant matter from outside? I do not wish to purchase something that requires live food, and expensive food, and, do beetles drink water?
