I just adopted a kitty as well, he's been here for about a month and a half. The first week, uhh, he meowed like crazy. The second week he meowed only when he couldn't find myself or the dog. The third week much better, he meowed at me when I left in the morning and at nite when I got home until I touched him. And alas, now, only meows when I call him or he thinks he is going to get special food. How long have you had the kitty? Sometimes it just takes time. Any chance the kitty is Burmese or Siamese mix? They sure are talkers. Let us know? Thanks for adopting from a shelter. Shelter kitties rock!!
