I've always thought they were kind of odd. What's good is they still have all their bones, no amputations. But you still have to trim nails just as often, if not more so...and in fact, if you get lax with the trims the cat can actually get injured by accidentally snagging and ripping off a nail or, if you were really neglectful, the nail could grow around into the pad. Still have claws, just can't control them in the slightest.
