In my opinion, Nutro is about as good as you're going to get.. I don't know about how it will affect your 3 year old, but I fed it to my overweight 3 year old and he's been on it another year since he came back to his regular weight, and is healthy as ever..

Also, I don't know what you were feeding them before but if it was not a premium brand there's a possibility that they were eating less not because they didn't like it but because they were full faster.. The premium foods have less filler in them and takes them longer to digest (another reason grocery brands tend to cause weight gain, the body doesn't have to burn as many calories to digest it) so they eat a lot less.. My guy went through 1.5 times more food on the cheap grocery brand than he does on the Nutro Weight management...
