You should try to feed a better quality canned food as well as a premium dry food. Anyway, usually you don't worry too much about canned food it is usually about 78% water. Dry food should make up most of your cats diet unless there are health problems that require canned. I've fed senior canned to kittens, they get most of their nutrition out of dry so as long as you're feeding the correct dry it's fine.
