Okay, after I posted, something started happening to Mina. She started playing with her shrimp, tossing it in the air and bopping it about, taking just a few tiny nips off here and there. Then, without warning, she gobbled it up in what looked like a single bite. Then she started searching, madly, wondering where it had gotten to as if she hadn't realized she had eaten it. So I gave her one of the others, and again, she practically swallowed it whole. Now Ringo sat near, the whole time watching her intently, approaching and sniffing then backing away as if repulsed by the slimy little pink thing on the floor. Then fast as lighting he ran around behind her ducked his head under her chin and tried to snatch it away. She batted him on the head and it was enough to free the shrimp from his teeth. He ran down the stairs without the prize. I tried to give him one of the other shrimp, but he hadn't really wanted to eat it, he only wanted it because she liked it so much.

Mina proceeded to hunt down both of the others and ate them. The whole time, Myrlte and April just sat watching, appearing slightly disgusted. After all were gone, Mina cried for about twenty minutes, then hopped into the bath tub and purred herself to sleep. I've given her shrimp a couple more times since, and it seems I've created a monster. Any time she hears the microwave, she tears into the kitchen crying, looking for some shrimp.
