I have 2 cats declawed and ive had no problems whatsoever. I declawed my first cat at the same time of the neuter. I decided to search for info about declawing when i got my second cat a yr later and decided not to have it done. well, 2 years later and unable to train him to not scratch inapropriately, i decided to have him declawed. Ive noticed no change in personality whatsoever in any of the them. they definitely get more positive attention now!

now i feel guilty that i waited so long to declaw my second one. he had no problems recovering from the surgery, but i had to stress him having two surgeries instead of having all done during his neuter.

about all the things said that they turn into biters and stuff, there are NO proof of that! there has been research and declawed cats bite no more than clawed cats and relationships between person and cat improves!

here are two good sites about declawing:
www.geocities.com/declawing
www.marvistavet.com/html/body_declawing_and_its_alternatives.html
good info about declaw
