The only problem, is that they can still pull at the threads in furnature or the tatters of a linolium floor where they have already scent marked and partially destroyed. That seems to be the case especially if they are a more destructive cat. In other words, yes they keep the cat from scratching, absolutly, but they don't keep it from 'pulling' at things.
