I want to adopt a cat/kitten to be exclusively outdoors. I know that most people discourage this, but I already know this is what I want. That being said, I want to make sure I don't get a kitten too young to be able to protect himself. What is the youngest age I could go and the cat be able to defend himself outside? I was thinking 5/6 months...I was thinking that the cat should already be spayed/neutered so that he/she wouldn't have to be outside right after surgery. Any thoughts or advice about this?
Thanks!
