My Belle was very content being an only cat, and when we got Scotty, she handed out whoopins multiple times a day LOL, but it was almost like eventually he just annoyed her SO much that she was finally took to him. I think if he would have left her alone, they may not have gotten so close as fast as they did, because she would have had no problem avoiding him altogether. It was almost like he said "you might as well love me because I'm not going to stop!!" Within just a few weeks of getting him, they were the best of friends. They lay on the floor, hugging and bathing each other. I think there is a good chance your cats will become good friends, especially since they are both young.
