Luckily we've had decent weather here in my part of southern Cali lately. Why? Cause there's this cat that has adopted our neighbors to the east of us and the ones next to them as well. Both sets are feeding it. Actually it's a him. I finally saw our neighbor and asked about the cat. She had just taken him to the vet......it's a he, he's fixed, and he's 13-14 years old. Appears to be a stray or abadoned. He was pretty scraggly when he showed up around Christmas time. But he's looking healthier since they've been leaving food out for him. I think it was Saturday that we asked and she was waiting for blood work to see if he's healthy.
What's breaking my heart is that he's starting to take a liking to us now. He's not even afraid of Katelyn. He greets us as we come and go from taking her to school and other activities. And though we've never fed him, he knows we have cats and he's now trying to sneek in when we come and go. I have to stick my foot out and make him back away. It's hard when I'm also trying to get a 5 yr old out the door. And tonight he's crying on our front porch to let him in. It's not freezing but it is a bit chilly tonight. With all my heart I wish we could let him in. Looks like I'm going to have to ask the neighbor if she got the results of his blood work back yet. And then if everything is okay I'll have to work on dh to add an old furbaby to the mix.

Kathryn
