Hey everyone

I still don't have pictures on here of the new kitten boy....sorry I am still working on it

I am just after a little advice on my new boy (aka "The Beast" and miss Pepsi (aka Miss moody pants. Well the introductions went pretty normally and the baby chooses to play whilst Pepsi sleeps most of the time they meet (always supervised). The only problem now is I'm not sure if I'm over-reacting when the baby pounces and boxes at her and she does it back. At first it was nerve wracking and noisy so I always shouted for a time out which they both stop immediately and go back to what they were doing. I'm starting to think now though that maybe it's play from both sides. Pepsi never had the opportunity really to meet other cats since we had her (almost a year now) so we have never really seen what she is like. She does occasionally box at him (The Beast) with no noises at all and I'm sure that's play but still sometimes she will give a short hiss or a small growl to which he always responds.

Am I right still to shout time out at these antics are does it sound as though both are indeed playing ?

Baby is very boisterous and Pepsi was a rescue case, very nervous of people and usually just sleeps the days away. I just think now that the more they spend time together in this way the less annoying it appears for Pepsi. WHen we first used to let out baby he usually managed about 30 minutes before Pepsi was growling and hissing and they were seperated, now we are at about 3 hours which is amazing I think (We only had the new boy for 4 weeks now)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I'm curious as to everyones views on this especially from people with a lot of experience of socialising kittens with older (more sedate) cats.

Kind Regards
