Ask your vet how bad can feline acne get - Romeo and Annie both had it - Annie it showed up as pus pockets and scabs. At first I thought she had been beat up by one of the other cats. Like some one had tried to disembowl her and she took it on the chin. Romes just had some bumps in the fur when you scritched his chin.

I think I cleaned Romes with hydrogen peroxide 2x a day for several days. Annie we just let heal since she was healthy and they cleared up fast. The big thing was I threw out their bowls and bought new. We had been using hard plastic picnic wear type bowls (they were human dishes) I thought since they weren't visably scratched, they couldn't harbor bacteria but they did. (ick!) I replaced them with some resturant style cermic white bowls I picked up at Target cheap. They only problem I've had with them the past several years is every human who has used one tells me they are too nice for the cats!
