I would call the vet and ask about using the topical spray you have before using it. One problem with creams/sprays is cats lick it off if it is in an area they can reach -- and the chin is.

Stanley had a bad reaction to plastics early on and it took about two weeks for the chin to clean up after switching to glass.

Whether it is acne or a scratch, recommend peroxide over alcohol. Have used both at the vet's OK and found that alcohol stings an awful lot and causes drooling. Peroxide will gently clean and not sting her nearly as much.

Before you try too many home remedies or meds from other pets, I'd call the vet and see what they think...
