KitKat could describe it better, but sometimes a claw wound will close up, fester inside and finally burst outward with a mix of pus, dead tissue and granduar regrowth. I've seen one in a jowl break outward repeatedly, but that poor tom was untreated. Hmmm....didn't you ask your vet to look for a piece of claw stuck in the chin before?
