I am sorry to hear that. It would be one thing for you both to apply and she be selected over you, but she didn't even give you a chance. Giving false info like that is wrong. Just remember, what goes around, comes around. If this is the way she operates, it will likely bite her down the road. The best you can do is put this behind you as a lesson learned and move on. Ask the practice if they will have any openings in the future (unless you know this is the only opening). Make sure they know you are interested...
