Hi,
Ordering prescriptions online is very much like getting them from a pharmacy. The vet would have to see the pet first and write the prescription for a limited amount. There may or may not be refills approved, depending on the drug and the particular animal.
Another option is to request the written-out prescription which can most likely be filled at any human pharmacy if it is an actual drug. I have saved money in the past by having some of my cats meds filled at Walmart.
It would not be legal for a vet to prescribe something for a pet they haven't even seen. I realize there might be ways to get around this, but it is never a good idea to do so.
