First of all when he is yelling, ignore him entirely. No pets, no comforting words..nothing. Hopefully he will learn that yelling doesn't get him what he wants. Make sure that he has plenty of toys inside and that you play with him with some interactive type toys like Cat Dancer or the little red dot pointer toys. You can also try every time he goes near a door or climbs a screen squirt him with a water bottle. This way, maybe...if you are lucky....he will decide that those places are not very pleasant.
