Hi Everyone
As most might remember Pepsi was a rescue cat with various timidness / skin problems who is on monthly injections for her allergies. She has always been reserved......not particularly bothered with ever going outdoors and generally keeps herself to herself.
At the end of last year we rescued a kitten who just plagues the life out of her....well until recently. In the last 3 weeks or so she now stands up to him when he tries to chase her about...which was nice to see since he's double her size now !!
We had a small cat run built onto the back of the house so that the 'kids' could use the cat flap and sit in the sun in a safe place (Since we lost Max to a dog when he was an outdoors cat). Pepsi loves to go out but only when you open the human door to it....we always assumed maybe her stomach hurt from the allergies irritation and she was small compared to where the old cat flap had been installed.
Anyway.....this morning I was hollering all round the house for her, could not find her at all after I was getting ready for work and I was panicking...until I realised she is an indoor cat, there's nowhere she can hide !! Anyway from the kitchen I heard Baby Cat (Cola) trilling in a crazy kind of manner and staring at the cat flap. Turns out that Pepsi had gone out the flap first time ever on her own !! and was now not letting Baby come out to enjoy the sunshine.
I almost fell on the floor...... My partner is home today and said she has been in and out the flap at will all morning and is demanding attention at every spare minute.
Finally our little girly kit is coming out of her shell...it's taken about 14 months of dedicated care and patience to get her to this so I am so so so so happy I just had to let everyone know.
GO PEPSI !!!!!! (PS She is the Black one on the pic)
----- Kind Regards
