Hi Janome,

Unfortunately, there is nothing OTC that you can safely give to cats for arthritis flare-ups. Drugs that are totally safe for us are deadly to cats.

If your kitty needs a long-term steroid for his arthritis, ask your vet about giving a Dexamethasone injection. This should give relief for at least a month.

Hopefully, your baby won't need meds on a continual basis.
