The father cat is a silver Persian, and you said the mother is 'marbled' ... is she also a Persian?

Color genes in cats can be a tricky thing to predict. For an example, a sealpoint Persian female mated to a shaded silver Persian produced brown tabbies, black smokes, sealpoints, seallynxpoint, bluelynxpoints, and solid blacks. Another example is a brown tabby DSH mated to an orange tabby DSH which produced not only brown tabbies, but solid blacks and sealpoints! I am guessing there is a 'red' cat somewhere in your cats' backgrounds which produced the 'orange' tabbies. If your cats are purebred, ask the breeder(s) for background on the lines of your cats.

Just a question ... when you had all of the DNA tests done, were DNA tests also done on the parent Persians for polycystic kidney disease?
