My heart goes out to you and your boyfriend.

I faced the same diagnosis (earlier in the stages it sounds) and had to amputate one of my cats' legs from a fibro/fiber scarcoma (cancerous tumor) caused by the Rabies shot. I have him tested regularly and pray the cancer doesn't come back.

One thing I felt was a lot of guilt since it was caused by a vaccination. The vet said that the guilt is common. If this is the case with your boyfriend, please assure him it is very rare but he is not alone. There are others on the boards that have also faced the same diagnosis. Some cats survived (as mine is for now) and others didn't.

I am glad he has you by his side.
