This is a message on behalf of my boyfriend and his cat Darla. Darla was once a feral cat who overcame her aloofness and immediately became a member of Alex's family. Everyone she met, she made such an emotional connection because she had such a powerful character. I've been with Alex for a year, and I fell in love with Darla the moment I met her as she wound her way around my legs and into my heart.
Unfortunately, she developed fibro-carcoma from a vaccination. Earlier this week, Alex had to determine if her quality of life would be good. With the vet and myself by his side, we were able to help him with his decision. This has to be the most difficult decision I have ever had to watch anyone make; it has me in tears and grieving, I can only imagine HIS pain.
Darla was a part of his past and I was lucky to have only a year with her.
Alex, I'm here by your side for talking, hugs, or crying. Know that I love you and we'll get throught this together. I love you.
Rebecca
