Yesterday, my beloved cat and friend Charlie died suddenly. He was 16, he lived a long and blissful life here with me, but I still wasn't prepared for him to leave so suddenly. He was fine when I left for work, and then could not move his back legs by 3pm and died at the vet at 5pm. I am devastated. Charlie was a unique, affectionate, loving cat. He always wanted to be in my lap, snuggled up in my bed or having his belly rubbed. The house is empty. His personality warmed the place everyday, he made my heart happy. I know he is better now in kitty heaven with his brother Sam who we lost last year, but I miss him so much. How do I get through the days without my best pal? I literally feel like my heart is breaking.
