Hi Again,

Grief is the price we pay for love. I read this last year and I will never forget it.

Any loss is difficult but the sudden loss of such a special baby is the hardest. Charlie was a one-in-a-million cat and you had no idea he would be leaving you. I'm sure it has been a tremendous shock and, in some ways, very hard to accept. It feels as of someone has reached into your chest and has torn out a piece of your heart.

I know it doesn't seem possible but the passage of time will help you to cope. As I mentioned in another post, the Pet Loss chats can help you through this. It has always helped me to be around others who understand the special bonds we have with our babies. Perhaps you can do something special to honor Charlie, such as write a poem, a story, or put together a scrapbook. The memories of him will always be with you and he has left his pawprints on your heart.

If you like, I can also post some grief sites that have helped me through hard times.

Take care and please remember that the PetSupport.net Staff is here for you.......

Regards,
PHKitkat
