Hi,

I am so sorry for your loss of Peanut. CRF is a very tough disease to deal with even when it is caught early. Sometimes it's best to let our precious babies go rather than try to treat them. We are able to do this only because we love them so much. I know the pain of having to make this decision.

I also have a multicat household and know how each precious baby has his or her own place in our hearts. When they leave us there is always a void that no other cat can fill. And the pain we experience is like nothing else.

It's hard to believe at this point, but the passage of time will help you to cope. You will never forget Peanut, of course, but as time goes on the pain will ease. Perhaps the day will come when you would like to do something to honor Peanut. You can do this by writing a story, putting together a special photo album, writing a poem, etc. It has always helped me to do something like this for each of my babies.

We have a pet loss chat every night if you are interested in attending. It really helps to spend time with others who understand. We are here for you if you need us.

Take care, and please feel free to post anytime.
