I lost Stanley three years ago to advanced kidney failure and several other complications associated with it, and Pookey last night to sudden and severe complications from a nasal mass/tumor. Both were brothers from the same litter, Stanley lived to 16 and Pookey to 19. They were the lights in my life. My constant shadows.



I am so empty right now without Pookey. I "heard" him in the house thru the night and woke often (I have been attuned to the slightest sounds to respond to him the past few days as I was hand feeding him, medicating him, and giving him Sub-Q fluids -- vet and I hoped it was a bad nasal infection we were monitoring to try to clear up).



I never posted anything for Stanley, too difficult, but I wanted to post favorite pictures of both on here in tribute so they are both always remembered. Right now my memories of both are of their last few days. The constant care and worry. I hope I get to a point where I remember the good days.



Stanley is the dark and white tabby, Pookey the orange and white tabby.
