The Comfort Zone plug in helped a great deal. Much of his crying, aggressive, and destructive behavior halted...not all of it, but a great deal.

I was determined not to get another kitten. I already have thirty some-odd animals, but its clear the one thing he really and truly needs is a playmate his size, and it's not fair to him to deprive him of that.

That...and I saw the most gorgeous tortishell tonkinese/siamese cross that was just his age, languishing in the shelter.

I'm in contact with the shelter manager now. I've told her my dilemna with Poseidan and she has agreed that a playmate is probably the only cure, since everything else I've tried either hasn't worked, or has only partially worked. She says the tonkinese is a little 'sassy' but shouldn't have much issue. She's going to give her to me on a trial basis. We're going to see how they do for a couple of months, and if it isn't working, the shelter manager will take her back (it's a no kill shelter, fortunately) and see if we can't find a better match for him.

Hopefully I'll be picking her up tonight. I'll get pictures up as soon as I can. Keep your fingers crossed for Poseidan!
