I will look into and try all of these things.
We had been in the house almost 3 weeks before the two new kitties joined our family. His sister(Mandy)doesn't do any of this, but then again, like said, it could be a marking issue. He(Tux)is such a passive, lovey kitty... unlike his sister who seems perfectly happy to romp around with the older cat (Kool Kitty, the 24 year old). Tux just wants to rub noses and brush up against Kool Kitty, who, in turn, goes into play mode and just knocks Tux over. Tux usually just walks away then Mandy will step in and rough-house with Kool Kitty. I have seen Tux play with the others, he runs around like a lunatic chasing them and sometimes nothing at all LOL But he really prefers to hang out with us 2 legs and can be quite forceful with his love LOL He is quite opposite his sister. She has escaped out the front door three times already in the last week. Goes straigh under the house to chase the lizards then about an hour later, sometimes less you'll hear her calling at the door. I don't like her going outside for several reasons. 1. she is still new to us and may not find her way back. 2. I don't like the idea of her eating the critters outside. 3. I'm greedy and my kitties are to stay inside with me LOL and 4. I don't want her bringing fleas in to the other cats. Though I do dose them once a month. Tux shows no interest in going outside. ANd Kool Kitty used to be an outside kitty until he appeared on our front porch one day. He's been an inside cat every since, though he has slipped out a few times as well over the years. (I've had him since my junior year of high school almost 14 years ago)
