We tried medication and other things. Most of the time he was very loving, but you never knew when he was going to attack. We tried to deal with it for quite a while (it had only happened three times up till that point) until something happened that changed everything. I had a child and brought it to my parents house for the first time. My son was sleeping and we put him in his crib. When he woke up and started crying, I went to the room to pick him up. The cat came tearing into the room following the sound and attacked me. If it could have gotten to my son, it would have. If I had already picked up my son from the crib, I may have dropped him during the attack. We just couldn't take anymore chances and had to get rid of him. In our case, when the choice was a newborn baby or a cat, there was no other desicion we could make. Every cat is different, and I hope you find something that helps yours (there must be many effective solutions available). I have no advice to give you, I don't know too much about cats, myself. I just wanted to offer my experiences as something else to think about. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
