Posted by: schiapp at Thu Jan 15 20:34:50 2004 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by schiapp ] My wife and I moving from SF to Italy soon and we'll be flying on US Airways with our two cats. They do not allow cats in the cabin on transatlantic flights, so we'll have to check them in. We scheduled the flight so it's two overnight trips (a stop in Philadelphia), so we can at least pick them up in Philadelphia and feed them and let them do their thing. We wanted to fly United/Lufthansa but the cat's rabies shots were within 30 days and would not comply with Germany's rules - we called the German consulate to verify. We realize it's not the best situation but we're reading as much literature to make the trip as smooth and uneventful as possible. The one thing I can't find on any site is any recommendations on pet carriers. I'm wondering whether anyone has a recommendation for a cat carrier. Or does not recommend one. Thanks.
