We have an new kitten in our house that is driving us crazy. She is somewhere between 4 and 6 months old and has been neutered. She can sometimes be a very loving, gentle cat but most of the time she is a terror. She jumps up on everything including a high mantle and pushes everything off. She has ruined several pairs of custom drapes by climbing on them. The old spray bottle trick only stops her for the moment and makes her more determined. She waits for us to leave the room or look away and she is back at it again. At bed time we have to put her in the basement for us to get a good nights sleep. We both work during the day and try to play with her when we are here but it does not really help. We have had kittens and cats before but never anything like this. My wife has much more patience than I and even she is fed up. If we cannot resolve this soon she is going to have to leave. Are there any suggestions?
