Hi,
Your adult male is just upset that there are more cats in the house. He will eventually except the kittens. I think I remember that your kittens are about 8 weeks old now and you had four of them. Have you found homes for any of them yet?

The distemper shot doesn't change his temperment. They just call it that. It's really shots to prevent kitty dieases. Usually the shots contain feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia that is for the three way. There is also a 6 way.

Try going and reading introducing a new pet forums. There is a lot of helpful information there. Also, you may want to try picking up some Bach's Rescue Rememdy. It's about ten dollars at a All Natural Food Store.Rub a drop in each of his ear tips. That should help calm him down.
