I really hope you haven't put your cat down yet. Have you tried an Animal Communicator? Sometimes they can find things that no one else can figure out.
I just started a forum where you might post your problem (under non-communicators) and get students to talk to your cat. It is really new, so there aren't many posts there yet. But there is also a link to a list of animal communicators, as well. You can find that in the notice to non-communicators under 'messages from bigcaat.'
Maybe you could see if one of the students would help you first, and if it works, great. If not, then maybe you could find a professional from the list, or ask on that board for a referral.
I really hope this helps. Kitty deserves for you to exaust all options. Maybe she's just upset or acting out for some reason that she can tell someone about. Anyway, the link is: http://www.bigcaat.com/animalcommunication
Best, Caat
