Many cats and kittens have "lovies" that they adopt and that they are territorial about. It is probably better for you to leave the would be "mother" alone and let her work the issue out with her sibling - who will learn to leave her alone when she's playing "house". Taking the object away only makes it more desirable and also makes the kitten feel more insecure because she's lost something precious to her.
