We will be driving. About 3 years ago we drove from Tulsa to Miami to move and we used a medium sized dog crate to put the two cats in. So they were together and I also had a small litter box and food and water in the crate. I have a small SUV and folded the seats down. This worked OK, but I just don't know if it was the best way. I sedated them both with was great for one, not so great for the other, who meowed the entire drive. For this trip, I am considering keeping them each in their separate carriers and wondering if this is a better or worse idea. This would be better for me, personally, but I am concerned for their comfort and peace of mind. If they travel in their carriers, their only access to food and water and litter boxes would be during breaks and during our hotel stop. Last time they did not use the food, water, or litter box the entire time they were in the car. Could somebody who knows more than me please advise? Thank you so much...
