If left unaltered, she will cycle in and out of heat most of the year until she either becomes pregnant or is spayed. If you live in a cold winter climate, you might get just a short break of a month or two in the winter, them come February, she'll begin the cycle all over again.
Heat cycles are not good healthwise for females and make them prone to breast cancer later in their little life. Besides if left unaltered she will probably start spraying in your house to intice a male to mate with her. Once they start the nasty spraying habit, it's not easy to stop. Both unaltered males and females will do this. If you get her fixed early enough, she'll most likely not begin spraying.
Cats go crazy when they are in heat but you have the power to stop her discomfort. Please do right by your kitty and get her spayed ASAP. Good luck to you.
