You have been given excellent advice. Male cats instinctively are prone to kill kittens, even their own off-spring. Get him separated from the kittens immediately.
Also, neutering him will help, but it still won't be safe to let him be around kittens for some time. This is because the testosterone stays in the system for up to six months and he'll still exhibit the behaviors of an intact male for quite some time. -----
