Some cats do have unusual cravings. Usually they are a result of malnutition, but in your case, perhaps the kitten is not absorbing all his food properly. You might want to seek out a feline specialist and discuss this problem. There is not a whole lot you can do with a cat who eats everything except to be very careful and watchful - which is almost impossible.

As for the kitten, time away from the other fellow will help him socialize with you better. Take him into a quiet room and pretend to be invovled in something - reading or using the computer. Do not make eye contact or talk to him. Instead toss him a treat every few minutes for about 15 minutes a day. He should warm up pretty quickly. The key is not to look at him or talk to him during this period.
