This does sound like some sort of mis-placed aggression. One of the cats (probably the male) is feeling challenged by the cats outside and is pouncing on Freya, who has become very wary of him. She probably wants to be the alpha cat.

I'd recommend keeping them both indoors if you can. Then you'll need to separate them and gradually re-introduce them. Using a Comfort Zone with Feliway might help ease things somewhat.

Yelling at them while they are fighting might be making matters worse. Try using a squirt gun filled with water and see if that separates them.

As a final option you might want to talk to the vet about trying some anti-anxiety meds with the cats, or you might want to consult an animal behaviorist.
