My wife and I have two ex-feral cats that are VERY timid and skiddish around people. Two years ago we moved to Seattle from NY and took a 5 hour flight where they stayed in carry-on bags by our feet. Going through security with all the new 911 precautions was a mess. Anyway, we will be moving back to NY in August and plan to be back and forth to Seattle at least twice a year. In January we plan to be here 2 weeks to a month and in May we intend to be here for 3 months. We are trying to figure out a way to minimize the trauma to the cats and still keep them with us. I have even thought of buying a small RV, but I am not even confident that they would acclimate to driving in it. Trains don't seem to allow cats. I suppose 5 hours of terror (in an airplane) might be better than 7 days of unhappiness but I am not sure. I appreciate anything you might be able to suggest.
