Hello,

About a year and a half ago I adopted a kitten as a companion for my other 3 cats. He came from a foster home with several other cats which were handicapped(as one of my other cats is) and I was told he was very affectionate and gentle with them. When I first got him he quickly warmed up to my other cats, growing particularly fond of my oldest cat who, surprisingly, accepted him lying on top of him, mimicking everything he did(he'd walk over to look out the window, the kitten would insue), etc. I was very pleased with how well they all got along in our small studio house. When my boyfriend moved in, however, the kitten began to pee on my clothes. I knew this was a way to "claim" me and it eventually stopped as he grew closer to my boyfriend(whom he now prefers over me). After we moved into a larger home, though, he began to occasionally pee on clothes and other items that were on the floor. He also eventually started to harass the other cats and continues to do so. He'll pounce on them and he gets on top of the female(they're all altered) cat and one of the males and bites their neck. He's particularly cruel to the oldest cat whom he had warmed up to so quickly in the beginning. He's always watching him and following him into rooms where he slaps him, pounces on him, etc. If we call that cat(he does not get anymore attention than the other cats) over to us the Problem Child runs over and slaps him or intimidates him with his mere pressence.

I really feel sorry for my older cat because he is trapped in a house all day with a cat who constantly harrasses him. We've wondered if it's all for attention as he seems to pounce on the other cats more often if we've been away for a day or two(doesn't happen very often) but we give this cat a lot of attention and he has plenty of toys and other cats to play with. His actions are no longer those of a playful kitten(all four of the cats DO enjoy playing together).. they are aggressive.

How do we deal with him? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
