Posted by: mouser9 at Thu Aug 17 15:01:47 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by mouser9 ] MY 14yr, old male neutered tabby has been in excellent health, but a bit overweight. lately, he will be sleeping on bed and then will wake up and start intently sniffing around me, bed, then jump to floor, bathroom constently sniffing around. He is unresponsive to his name, sounds or even a flashlight directly in his eye. Then he starts panting and then finds a spot sits down and defecates. After this he is completely back to normal. The stool is normal. I this normal, senile or ill behavior? He has only done this twice in several onths, but this still bugs me. What is going on?
