Now I have had dogs that eat furniture when they are puppies but my cats have never eaten furniture. Had one that chewed on paper, but that was easy....don't leave paper out if you want to retain it. Have you talked to your Vet? You might try that for suggestions, perhaps spray the couch with Bitter Apple. That works on some cats. Although I had one that actually liked it, most don't.
