Mine tend to scatter when they see me going toward the stereo with a CD in hand. They know that means dancing with kitty time and they don't like dancing with me for some reason. I think it has something to do with the fact that I tend to try and sing along and my cats have told me in no uncertain meows that my singing sounds like a chicken in heat.
As long as I keep the volume to a minimum, they will walk around and rub the speakers, but if I turn the volume up, they scatter.
Just curious, do any others of you pick up your cats for a dance partner or am I the only lunatic out here??
