Our cats are Riley(Egyptian Mau), Savannah (Ocicat), Zeke(Bengal), and Jesse James(Chausie).
I got the name Riley while reading an article in a cat magazine about a cat named Buttercup who the owner changed the name to Riley because he was all wound up. I liked the story and the name.
Savannah was named that because I was reading a book at the time that was set in Savannah, Georgia.
Zeke got his name because I wanted something that started with Z. We call him Zeke the Geek.
Jesse James is a Chausie and not exactly legal in my state anymore. So he is an outlaw and needed an outlaw name If I knew they were going to make Bengals illegal too I would have given Zeke an outlaw name too.
I treat them like humans and they think they are humans. Most humans have never seen the breeds of cats I have so I hink they get extra attention because of the, not their names.
