I had a kitten for about a year and moved to another city. I was not able to take Dusty with me to the new city. I left him with a relative who had other cats (Dusty was an only kitty with me) for 9 months until my living situation settled down and I was able to get him. I didn't notice too many problems. He was happy to be with me again. He gets a little nervous when he sees me packing for a trip (usually tries to get on top of the suitcase to prevent me from using it!), but he's completely fine. I take him back to visit my relative's house about once a year when I visit them, but he's fine. Of course, not all cats will behave the same, but I think you should be fine. Keep visiting them if you can though. Hope this helps ease your mind! [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
