Hello, My friend needed a home for her 10 year old purebred himalayan.. well she tured to em and i took him in... I secluded him for 2 nights and then let him sniff around the house. well its been just over a week and 2 of my four cats are attacking him.. mostly for his food, but im not sure what to do..
my cats are all 10 years and outdoor/indoor and have claws. he however, is declawed and indoors.. im afraid they are going to hurt him.
i believe hes eating, and i have seen him use the litterbox. but i feel so bad i dont know what to do. i tired hiding his food, but they always find it.. (esp the dog)
right now he stays in my hallway bathroom most of the day with his food. he hisses and will not let my hubby near him, but ive gotten to pet him and got him purring once!!!!! he even rubbed against me...
should i give it time??? close off that room for awhile???
any suggestions are welcome.. thankyou
