I got a new cat (1 y.o. f) from the pound today, I brought her home about 5:30 pm, took her into "her" room, she was very friendly & purring for about five minutes, then she discovered the space under the bed and I haven't seen her since. I'm guessing she's just hiding out until she feels more comfortable, but I'm worried because she was spayed this morning. I could chase her out from under the bed with a broom or something but it would probably not be the most calming experience for her. Should I just be patient and figure she's ok? She seemed pretty alert & OK when I first got her home.
