Hi, we have a 1.5yr old cat (female) called Pickles. Yesterday we brought Zoe home (female kitten). Needless to say Pickles is not impressed. But from what I have read things could be a lot worse. They growl at each other but no fighting and they both spent the night in the same room in different safe sleeping spaces without incident. Today they spent a few staring at each other at close distance. Worst that happens is growling from both..

So my question is how can I make Pickles (my cat) feel loved and wanted and help her through this transition? How long will it take for them to get used to each other and is it just a matter of letting them work it out for themselves unless fighting occurs?

Any insight would be great! Thank you!
